Cabinet
Two and a half years ago there was no fall concert at Boston College, no flat screens in the dining halls, no e-syllabi online, no bi-weekly UGBC emails, and no Director of Sustainability in the university administration. However, the previous two UGBC Administrations took Boston College to a new level, establishing traditions and attitudes that have become a defining part of the university's character today.
This year, we hope to increase the level of commitment among the Undergraduate Government of Boston College. This starts with us and will be reflected throughout our organization. We will work tirelessly to act as representatives of the student voice and will ensure that UGBC is always working on behalf of students.
While this begins with us, we know we cannot represent Boston College alone. We have chosen students for the 2009-2010 Cabinet who have a strong level of commitment and dedication to join us in our goal to improve our university.
We are ready to work on improving all aspects of the lives of students at Boston College. Our platform is divided up into five sections: University Issues, Student Life, Community Participation, UGBC improvements and Academic Life. Whether it means implementing Advising Evaluations, creating a blog to improve communication with students or adding a shuttle service to the Watertown Mall, we are committed to making the experience at Boston College better.
All Cabinet General meetings are open to the public and we strongly encourage anyone who is interested to get involved. We hope you choose to join us in our commitment - to UGBC, to students, and to making Boston College a better place.

The department must work together to ensure an all-encompassing approach to improving daily life on campus. While the Student Life department spans many different issues, they must all work together towards a common goal in ensuring that students have the resources they need in order to take advantage of the Boston College community. While all members of the Cabinet must be in touch with the needs on campus, members of the Student Life department continuously seek feedback and suggestions from the student body.

UGBC is responsible for providing all students with an enjoyable and stimulating array of programming, with the Campus Entertainment Department serving as the primary caretaker of this responsibility. Campus Entertainment must provide fun, exciting, new, and engaging entertainment for students. Besides major events like Homecoming, the Christmas Tree Lighting, and Spring Weekend, it is expected that the department work closely with the President and Vice President to plan a Fall Concert, Spring Concert and Modstock on the last day of classes. The entire Campus Entertainment department serves as staff members at all department events, building camaraderie through the many demands that a position in this department requires.
