The Mentoring Leadership Program - MLP
The Mentoring Leadership Program is a leadership program of over 50 freshmen
created to continue the process of fostering leadership skills. This is
achieved through leadership workshops, a retreat, a series of community
service activities, and most importantly with the pairing of the members
of the program with a member of the Undergraduate Government of
Boston College. The goal of the program is to give a better insight into
the student government of Boston College and prepare the members to assume
leadership roles in UGBC and other aspects of campus, as well as to create
well-rounded leaders through service and skills workshops
MLP Mission Statement
The Mentoring Leadership Program is a unified group of creative, goal-driven
leaders who enthusiastically dedicate themselves to acquiring the knowledge
and skills necessary to provide leadership unparalleled in greatness for
the entire Boston College community.
Drawing on our passion, resourcefulness, discipline, organization, and communication
we will develop not only a deep understanding of the needs of the BC community,
but also an acute ability to meet them, all in a spirit of service to our
fellow person. In fulfillment of this mission we will leave a legacy of
surpassed expectations and have made a positive difference in the lives
