UGBC is full of ways for students to get involved without actually being a member. If you’re looking for a way to get involved with your student government and haven’t participated in any of the freshmen programs, these committees are a great way to do it! PRESIDENTS AND VICE PRESIDENTS' ADVISORY COMMITTEE
The President and Vice Presidents' Advisory Committee will assist Al and Alex in making decisions on key initiatives of UGBC. They will serve as a think tank as well as sounding board for ideas that will enhance and improve the quality of student life at Boston College as well as provide feedback and insight into the current issues and needs of students.

EVENT MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE
The UGBC Event Management Committee will assist UGBC’s Campus Entertainment department in the production and logistics of large-scale campus events such as the Fall Concert, Homecoming and more. Duties include assisting in promotion, setup and break down, staffing and presence at campus events. The Event Management Committee will also serve as an advisory committee to the Campus Entertainment department for new programming ideas, as well as improving traditional events.

UGBC STREET TEAM
The UGBC Street Team is a high-energy group of people dedicated to getting the word out about awesome upcoming UGBC events. This year, Street Team really wants to utilize the unique personalities of its members and is seeking outgoing individuals with creative ideas for innovative marketing endeavors.

RED SOX GREEN TEAM
In a partnership with UGBC, the Boston Red Sox have implemented a more comprehensive recycling program this year in their creation of the Green Team. This initiative allows fans to "recycle at the seats" as members of the volunteer group go into the seating bowl during inning breaks to collect empty bottles.

BC DINING SERVICES COMMITTEE
BC Dining spends a great deal of time throughout the year making operational decisions that will better serve you and enhance your dining experience across campus. Members of this committee will attend BCDS meetings and make choices concerning all aspects of dining halls, catering and food in general on campus.

BREAKING THE BARRIERS BALL COMMITTEE
The Breaking the Barriers Ball aims to unite the BC community while embracing the Jesuit ideal of giving to those in need. Members will aid in planning all aspects of the Ball,including choosing decorations, ordering food and canvassing for raffle prizes.

CAMPUS COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIP INITIATIVE
The BC CCPI is a coalition aimed at addressing alcohol-related student behavior off-campus, in the neighborhoods surrounding Boston College. The coalition holds monthly meetings to discuss problems and strategize about possible solutions.

INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SERVICES COMMITTEE
BC’s ITS committee meets to discuss support and network issues of the BC community, from issues with the CTRC and printing to internet connections and technical support.
