Save the Date: Homecoming 10/25!

HOMECOMING 2008
Ready for an awesome night of fun and dancing? The annual Homecoming Dance will be on Saturday, October 25th. Come to the Mod Lot from 9:30 PM until 1:30 AM to enjoy dancing, free food and a cash bar for students 21+. Don’t forget to validate your BC ID at Student Services before the dance. National Hockey Champion Banner Hanging

2008 NATIONAL HOCKEY CHAMPION BANNER HANGING CEREMONY
Teams come and go, but banners last forever! Come watch the BC Hockey Team hoist the 2008 National Championship Banner. Festivities will begin at 6:00PM. Come take your picture with the National Championship Trophy and participate in a trivia contest to win signed gear from the championship team. FIRST PUB SERIES
Want a place on campus to socialize and relax before you go out for the night? On Thursday, October 2nd, from 6:30PM until 9:30PM, come and enjoy a cash bar and free food at Lyons Dining Hall! BC VOTES: 2008 VOTER REGISTRATION RALLY
Are you registered to vote? YOU can register this Friday, October 3rd, in the Dustbowl while enjoying free food and live acts. You can also register to vote online at UGBC.org/vote and help BC win a free Death Cab for Cutie concert. Register in Massachusetts by October 15th, using your BC residence hall address and eliminate the problem of requesting an absentee ballot before Election Day! GROCERY SHUTTLES
Want an easy way to stock your fridge? UGBC’s weekly Grocery Shuttles are a fantastic resource! Conveniently leaving Conte Forum EVERY Sunday, buses transport students to and from Star Market on Beacon Street. Shuttles eliminate the hassle of carrying groceries back to campus by giving you easy access to the grocery store. With buses running from 1:00PM until 4:00PM, students with or without a mean plan have ample time to shop. Whether you want snacks or cooking supplies, UGBC’s Grocery Shuttles are here for you! MAKING STRIDES AGAINST BREAST CANCER
Want to help in the fight against breast cancer? On Friday, October 3rd, wear denim and pink to show support. Then, on October 5th, come walk to raise awareness and money to help fight breast cancer. Sign-in for the walk will be from 8:00AM until 10:00AM. Make sure to register online at www.cancer.org/stridesonline! Volunteers are also needed for setup on Saturday and during the walk on Sunday. National Coming Out Week

NATIONAL COMING OUT WEEK
Enjoy a week full of festivities whether you are GLBTQ or an ally! Buy your “Support Love” T-shirts for $5 in McElroy this Thursday and Friday from 11:00AM until 3:00PM. Then, starting Monday, October 6th and going strong until Friday, October 10th, attend each of the events sponsored by the GLBTQ Leadership Council. Want to watch your peers take part in a mock presidential debate?
